How Do Multi-Axis / Gantry Systems Work?
A typical Multi-Axis / Gantry System will be designed using the geometric X, Y, Z axis concepts. The X and Y Axis components typically use a combination of our Belt driven actuators with Rotated carriages which simplify system construction. The Z Axis is typically one of our Omega style actuators where the carriage is stationary and the rail system then translates up and down along the Z Axis. Tooling attachment on either end of the Omega rail perform the application task. Our T-slot Aluminum Framing forms the structural elements needed to mount our system in the customer’s facility.
